BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College women's soccer player Kendall Cox (Guilford, Conn.) has been named a third-team All-American honoree after a stellar senior season and outstanding career for the Polar Bears. It is the second straight year that Cox has been named an All-American selection.
Cox, who was a three-time first-team All-NESCAC choice and three-time All-New England choice, was a senior captain and defensive leader in 2004 for the Polar Bears, who finished with a 9-6-1 mark and reached the NESCAC semifinals for the fourth straight year. The Guilford, Conn. native anchored a backfield that allowed just 14 goals in 16 games this year.
In four seasons at Bowdoin, Cox played in 58 games and Bowdoin allowed just 53 goals, for a goals-against-average of 0.91.
