BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's soccer team placed three members on All-NESCAC teams announced on Friday afternoon. Senior Kendall Cox (Guilford, Conn.) earned a first-team nod, while rookies Katherine Whitley (Birmingham, Ala.) and Bobby Dennison (Freeport, Maine) collected second-team honors.
Defender Kendall Cox earned her third-straight first-team selection with another outstanding season. The senior captain led a backfield that allowed just 14 goals in 16 games this season. Cox was a third-team All-American choice as a junior last season.
First-year Katherine Whitley (left) tied for the team lead in scoring this season, finding the back of the net five times with two assists. Four of her goals came against in-state foes Colby and Bates.
Midfielder Roberta Dennison (right) stepped into a crucial spot on the field for the Polar Bears and proved to be a steady performer, starting in 15 of 16 games and scoring a goal and an assist on the year.
Bowdoin finished the season with a 9-6-1 mark and reached the NESCAC Semifinals for the fourth straight season.
