BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College men's soccer players Danny Sullivan (Portsmouth, N.H.), Ethan Roth (West Orange, N.J.) and Andrew Russo (Weymouth, Mass.) were all selected as NESCAC First-Team members on Friday.
Danny Sullivan, a first-team All-American selection last season, repeats as a first-team All-NESCAC choice in 2004. An anchor in the Bowdoin backfield, Sullivan led a Polar Bear defense that allowed a mere 0.87 goals per game this season. The two-time captain started every game this season, scoring a goal and two assists.
Senior captain Ethan Roth proved to be a leader for Bowdoin in the midfield this season. Roth scored once and added four assists this season, playing in every contest on the year. A first-time All-NESCAC selection, he closes out his career with six total goals.
Junior Andrew Russo continued to impress and rise in the Polar Bear record books. The midfielder/forward scored a team-high seven goals this season and added four assists. He currently has 28 career goals (tied for fourth all-time at Bowdoin) and has 12 career assists (tied-8th). In addition, his 68 career points are fourth at the school.
The Polar Bears finished third overall in the conference with a 10-6 record (6-3 NESCAC).
