BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College women's lacrosse player Kendall Cox (Guilford, Conn.) has been named a Third-Team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Cox, who also earned All-American honors in soccer, was also a First-Team All-NESCAC and First-Team All-New England selection.
The junior netminder earned All-American honors after posting 160 saves and a 7.61 goals-against-average this year. Cox anchored the NESCAC's second-best scoring defense as Bowdoin trailed only Middlebury in goals allowed this season. Cox was second in the league in goals-against-average and played more minutes than any other netminder in the conference and the most ever by a Polar Bear goalie in a single season (1,041). She is the first Bowdoin player since 2000 to earn IWLCA All-American honors.
Cox is also an Academic All-NESCAC honoree, majoring in Psychology.
