BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's basketball team has reached the highest-ever ranking in the history of the program in the national poll released today. The Polar Bears (8-0), who are off to the best start in school history, are ranked number six in the nation by D3hoops.com.
After two impressive non-conference wins over Mary Washington and Swarthmore, the Polar Bears will return home in the second leg of a doubleheader with the men's team against Plymouth State on Thursday evening. The men will play at 5:30, while the women are scheduled for a 7:30 tip-off. The game marks the first of six straight home games for the Polar Bears. On Sunday, the women will host Colby-Sawyer at 3:00 before diving into the NESCAC season next Tuesday against arch-rival Colby.
