BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior men's lacrosse goalkeeper Grant White (Charlottesville, Va.) has been named the Co-NESCAC Player of the Week for his efforts in Bowdoin's victory over Middlebury on Saturday. The Polar Bears (7-2) will host in-state rival Bates on Tuesday afternoon in Brunswick.
White posted a career-high 18 saves, including eight in the pivotal fourth quarter, as Bowdoin defeated second-ranked Middlebury 11-10 in overtime. White helped the Polar Bears snap the Panthers' 18-game NESCAC regular-season winning streak and give Bowdoin their second win over Middlebury in the past three seasons.
The senior has posted an 8.44 goals-against-average this season with a .561 save percentage and averaging nearly 10 saves/game.
