Bowdoin Ranked In Latest USCHO Polls

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College ice hockey teams continued to be ranked in national polls released by on Monday. The Polar Bear women (10-3-1) are ranked fifth overall, while the men (10-4-0) stand at number 12.

The women's ice hockey team has been on a roll of late, racking up eight straight wins and out-scoring opponents 63-5 during that streak. Forward Britney Carr earned NESCAC Player of the Week honors last week for her performance in three Bowdoin victories. The Polar Bears will face Southern Maine on Tuesday evening in Gorham.

The Polar Bear men improved to 12th overall in the nation after a two-win weekend over conference foes Tufts and Connecticut College. Bowdoin was 14th in last weeks' poll and will return to action later this week when they face Wesleyan and Trinity on the road.
