BRUNSWICK, Maine - As the Bowdoin College women's ice hockey team continued to roll, senior Britney Carr (Conway, N.H.) was honored as the NESCAC's Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week. Fifth-ranked Bowdoin has won eight straight games, outscoring opponents 66-5 during the streak.
Carr opened the week by posting three goals (including the game-winner) and two assists in a 10-1 blowout over rival Colby. Against Connecticut College on Friday, she scored once more and assisted on another in a 6-0 before assisting on one more goal against Amherst in a 4-1 victory on Saturday.
Carr is tied for the team and NESCAC lead in scoring with 23 points this year. Her 14 assists rank her first on the team and second in the conference. She is also fourth in the league with two game-winning goals this year.
