BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College junior women's soccer player Cedar Goldman (Newton, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week for her efforts last weekend. The Polar Bears dropped Tufts 1-0 in Medford on Saturday, with Goldman collecting the game-winner. Bowdoin now stands at 6-2-0 this season.
Goldman's goal was the only score of the game as Bowdoin blanked Tufts. The midfielder has been stellar on both ends of the field so far this year, pitching two goals and four assists, good enough for second on the team in scoring. Her other goal of the season- against Plymouth State on September 23- was also a game-winner. Meanwhile, the Bowdoin defense has been stellar this year, allowing only five goals- ranking them first defensively in the NESCAC. The Polar Bears will return to action on Wednesday when they host Southern Maine.
