BRUNSWICK, Maine - Despite two losses over the weekend, the Bowdoin College field hockey team remained high in the national rankings, sitting at number 14 in the latest national poll released on Monday. The Polar Bears are 4-2 this year.
The Polar Bears saw their weekend opponents rise in the rankings, as Amherst went from unranked to number 13 and Middlebury improved from sixth to fourth. Bowdoin was ranked tenth in last week's release. Include 16th-ranked Williams and number 19 Colby and the NESCAC has an impressive five teams in the national top-20. Bowdoin will return to action on Saturday when they play at Tufts.
