Desilets Named Player of the Week

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College junior men's soccer player Bobby Desilets (Mapleville, R.I.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference co-player of the week for his efforts this past weekend. Bowdoin is currently ranked fifth in Division III and stands a 3-0-1 this season.

Desilets, the Polar Bears' leading scorer this season with three goals and two assists, scored twice in a tie against Williams on Saturday. His second goal came with a mere 27 seconds remaining and deadlocked the contest, sending it into overtime where the game ended in a 3-3 tie.

The junior forward is creeping up the career scoring list at Bowdoin, with his 15 career tallies placing him tenth all-time at the school in career goals scored. The Polar Bears will play at Amherst and Middlebury back-to-back this weekend.
