BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior men's soccer player David Bulow (Denver, Colo.) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association All-American team. The Denver East High School graduate was named to the third team, and is Bowdoin's fifth player to achieve All-American status.
Bulow leaves the program after one of the most successful four years of any player in school history. Also a first-team Regional All-American honoree, Bulow tied the school record for career goals with 32. He holds the Bowdoin school record in numerous other categories, including single-season points (39), single season goals (17), single-season assists (9), career points (86) and career assists (22). The Polar Bears finished the 2001 season 10-5-1. Over his four years at the Bowdoin, the men's soccer team accumulated a 42-16-5 record, the second-best of any class in school history.
"Dave is going to be hard to replace at Bowdoin," says head coach Brian Ainscough. "Both on and off the field. His love and passion for game is really what makes Dave stand out from the rest. This award is extremely well-deserved."
