Women's Basketball Moves Up In Polls

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's basketball program was ranked among the best in the nation in the preseason, and the first two weeks of the season have seen the program live up to that ranking. In national polls released today, the women's basketball team has moved up to number 14.

The team (3-0) has cruised to an unbeaten start after winning two games at the Wellesley Invitational and downing the University of New England in their home-opener, 80- 66. Sophomore Lora Trenkle (Surry, Maine) is pacing the team with 19.7 points per game and is shooting 60% (9-15) from three-point range this year. The Polar Bears will travel to Roger Williams this Saturday before returning home for their last game before winter break, December 8 vs. Husson.
