Women's Squash Takes CBB Crown
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin Women
swept Bates and Colby this week, both by 6-3
decisions, to win the informal "CBB" Maine
Championship.
Bowdoin took a 9-0 decision over the Colby Mules in November and defeated an improved line-up in Brunswick on Wednesday, February 5th. Colby had fallen to Bates 3-6 in Waterville in January and will play at Bates next Tuesday.
However, the Bowdoin Polar Bears clinched the CBB nod as they defeated Bates 7-2 in Lewiston and 6-3 in Brunswick, completing a 4-0 sweep of Maine opponents. Claiming wins in all 4 matches were Niki Clement '06, Merrill Muckerman '03, Lindy Stanley '03, Whitney Hodgkins '03, and Eileen Schneider '04.
Bowdoin is currently ranked #9 nationally and #1 in the Kurtz Cup division.
