BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department is proud to host a weekend full of activity leading up to "Girls and Women In Sports Day" on Sunday, February 2.
All ages are welcome to participate in numerous activities and meet Bowdoin female athletes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 2 at Bowdoin's Farley Field House. This event will be the highlight of a weekend full of Bowdoin women's sports action. As always, admission is free to all Polar Bear women's sporting events, including the "Girls and Women In Sports Day" event on Sunday.
The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team, ranked second in the nation, will host Concordia on February 1 at 1:00 p.m. The Polar Bears are an impressive 12-0-2 this season and are the lone unbeaten team in any division of collegiate hockey.
The Bowdoin women's basketball team is ranked sixth in the latest national poll on the strength of a 15-1 mark. The Polar Bears will host a pair of key NESCAC games this weekend, as Williams will come to town on Friday evening at 7:00. Middlebury will play the host Polar Bears at 2:00 on Saturday. Saturday will be autograph day for the women's hoops team and all children will receive a team picture and the players will be available for autographs after the contest.
In addition, the Common Hour speaker on Friday at Smith Union will be head women's rugby coach and women's basketball assistant Marybeth Mathews. For more information on any of these events, contact email@example.com
