BRUNSWICK, Maine -
The Bowdoin College Athletic Department is
excited to announce a special promotion
inviting community members and their
families to Polar Bear competitions on
January 17 and 18. On both Friday and
Saturday of that weekend, the Bowdoin men's
basketball and men's ice hockey games will
be free for children 18-and-under.
The Bowdoin men's
basketball team is 5-6 entering NESCAC play
this weekend and will be hosting a pair of
crucial conference games on Friday and
Saturday. The Polar Bears will host Trinity at
7:00 p.m. on Friday and will play 12th-ranked
Amherst on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Admission
is free for all ages at the men's basketball
games and spectators can expect special
activities and promotions at both games.
The Bowdoin men's
ice hockey team is ranked fifth in Division III
coming into this week and is 9-1 overall. They
will also host a pair of important NESCAC
match-ups that weekend as unranked, but
always tough, Williams College will come to
town on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and #11
Middlebury College will play at 4:00 p.m. on
Saturday. Admission is free for children
18-and-under at both contests.
