BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's
hockey team continued to roll last weekend,
picking up back-to-back wins over NESCAC foes
Hamilton and Amherst. The Polar Bears were
recognized on Monday, as sophomore forward Marissa
O'Neil (Manchester, N.H.) was tabbed as Player of
the Week for the NESCAC.
O'Neil scored a goal and added an assist in Bowdoin's 7-2 win over Hamilton on Friday night. On Saturday, O'Neil posted two more goals and added an assists in the Polar Bears' 8-0 blanking of Amherst. O'Neil currently leads the squad with five goals and is tied for the team lead with 11 points this year.
Bowdoin (5-0-1) was ranked second in the latest national poll (Dec. 2) with the new national poll due out on Monday evening.
