BRUNSWICK, Maine
- Bowdoin College sophomore back Kendall Cox
(Guilford, Conn.) was named Second-Team All-New
England by the National Soccer Coaches Association
of America Committee on Monday. Cox led the Polar
Bears to a 12-2-2 record and a berth in the New
England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)
Semifinals this fall.
The sophomore defender was the lone first-team All-NESCAC selection for Bowdoin after leading a stellar defense that allowed only 14 goals in 15 games this season. In addition, Cox scored one of the biggest goals of the year for Bowdoin, ending Williams College's 16-game regular season winning streak with a 30-yard free kick goal in a 1-0 win.
