BRUNSWICK, Maine -
The National Field Hockey Coaches'
Association released their All-American
team on Monday afternoon and Bowdoin
College junior Amanda Burrage (Brookline,
Mass.) was named
to the second team. The Polar Bears finished
their season as runners-up in the New
England Small
College Athletic Conference with a 12-4
record.
Burrage, a
midfielder, took second-team honors after
dealing out 10 assists on the season, one shy
of the
school mark for single-season assists. She
also contributed to the stellar defense for the
Polar Bears that allowed a mere 14 goals in
16 contests this season. Earlier this fall,
Burrage was named to the NESCAC's
All-Academic team,
honoring the best student-athletes in the
conference.
