BRUNSWICK,
Maine - Bowdoin College senior forward Leah
McClure (Rothesay, N.B.) has been
selected as Bowdoin College's lone
representative for the annual National Field
Hockey Coaches
Association Division III North/South Senior
All-Star Game. The game, which takes place
on November
23 at 5:30 p.m. at Springfield (Mass.) College,
features the top senior field hockey players in
the nation.
McClure leads Bowdoin, and is second in the
NESCAC (New England Small College
Athletic
Conference) with 10 goals this season.
For her career, McClure ranks among the top scorers in Polar Bear field hockey history. Entering this weekend, her 27 career goals ranks her sixth all-time and her 64 career points place her seventh on the career list. Bowdoin (10-3 overall, 6-2 in NESCAC) will play host to Bates this Saturday and can clinch home-field for the NESCAC Semifinals and Championship with a victory.
