Polar Bear Hockey Teams Ranked High In Preseason Polls
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin
College men's and women's ice hockey
teams are ranked high in
pre-season polls released by U.S. College
Hockey Online. The Polar Bear women are
ranked third in the
pre-season poll, while the men were ranked
eighth in the nation.
Both teams are coming off extremely successful campaigns that saw the women's squad advance to the NCAA Semifinals and win the NESCAC Championship and the men's team reaching the NCAA Quartefinals. The women ended their season with a school-best 23- 5-1 record, while the men went 18-6-3 in 2001-02. Both teams begin their regular season on November 22 when the men travel to play at St. Anselm and the women host Wesleyan.
