SWEET BRIAR, Va. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team was represented by Paulette Hricko and Alexis Bawden at the NCAA Individual Championships on Monday where both players had solid showings. Hricko won her first round match over Kathy North of the University of the South in three sets 7- 6(5), 6-7(8), 6-4. In a bizarre coincidence, Bawden then lost in a first-round marathon to Kathy North's sister, Jackie North, of the University of the South, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3. The total match time was two hours and 17 minutes as North rebounded from a first-set loss to take the victory. Hricko then fell in an afternoon match to Joanna Toke from the University of Rochester. The final score was 6-2, 6-0.
