Baseball Takes NESCAC Honors

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) announced its all conference selections today, and Bowdoin College was represented with three players. Sophomore second baseman Kevin Bougie (Sanford, Maine) made the first team, while outfielders Seth Paradis (Auburn, Mass.) and Rob Metzler (West Hartford, Conn.) earned second team selections.

Bougie led the Polar Bears with a .377 average this season, including 13 extra base hits and 27 runs batted in. Paradis batted .344 on the year and clubbed a team-high 11 doubles, three homers and 23 RBI's. Metzler saw a significant amount of time in the leadoff spot, hitting .360 and committing only one error all season in centerfield for Bowdoin. The Polar Bear ended their season with a record of 16-18, one win shy of the school record.
