Trenkle Collects All-American Honors

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College sophomore Lora Trenkle added another honor to the pile of post-season accolades she has received in 2001-02. The shooting guard from Surry, Maine was named a third-team All-American by

Trenkle earned NESCAC and ECAC Player of the Year honors by averaging 15.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game this season. The Polar Bears finished 26-2 and reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. Trenkle is only the second women's basketball player at Bowdoin to receive All-American status. Amy Harper collected All-American College Division honors in 1984-85.
