Kara Nilan joins the Bears this year for her first season. The righty pitcher was awarded Berkshire County MVP (four times!), Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year, and All East First Team Utility. She plans on majoring in Government or Sociology. For fun, she enjoys sailing, playing tennis, surfing, and collecting pharmaceutical pens. Kara is the daughter of Lynne and Cliff and has two siblings, Jimmy and Meredith. More importantly, she has a dog named Tank.

What's your favorite class at Bowdoin? Why?
My favorite class is Exercises in Political Theory because it combines government and phiolosophy and is so interesting!

Who/what is the biggest influence in your life? Why?
My parents because they are so supportive and helpful!

Thorne Dining Hall because the food is amazing!
