Shavonne (Chevy) Lord joins the Polar Bears this spring for her second season. She is a Psychology major. For fun, Shavonne likes to read poetry, Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein in particular, and she also watches a lot of movies. Shavonne is also a member of the 2007 National Championship Bowdoin Field Hockey team. Shavonne's experience as the starting short stop should have an enormous impact on the Polar Bears' fielding this season. A graduate of Shrewsbury High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, Shavonne captained both the Field Hockey and Softball teams and was recognized numerous times league and state-wide for excellence in both sports. Shavonne is the daughter of Cathy Kilcoyne and Gregg Lord and has a step-father Tom Kilcoyne and a step-mom Daphne Lord.

What is your favorite team memory?
My favorite team memory is when we played the vegetable game at a restaurant in Florida and Ali was horrible at it.
