Sophomore pitcher Julia Jacobs rejoins the Polar Bears this spring after receiving a Second Team All-Conference award last year as a freshman. Julia also set the school record for most single season wins for a pitcher (13; tied with Karen Reni) last year. For fun, Julia likes to play with her friends, do stuff outdoors, dance, read, and do community service. Julia spends half of her time with her mom, Cynthia, and the other half with her dad, Dan, and her step-mom, Nancy, as well as her three step-sisters, Jackie, Vanessa, and Ali. She has a Shih Tzu and two frogs; she's not sure if they're still alive.

What is your favorite team memory?
Sterno's walk off grand slam against Bates. Obviously because we won the game, but it was also amazing to see how proud everyone was to see their teammate succeed.

What is your favorite class?
My favorite class is Infant and Child Development.

What is playing on your ipod right now?
Hey Julette---LMNT

What has been the biggest influence in your life?
My dad has been the biggest influence on my life. He's the most selfless, hard working, and caring person I know. The high standards he sets for himself are what have inspired me to strive for perfection in everything I do.

What are you looking forward to the most next season?
Utilizing the returnees- extra year of experience, and the new freshman talent to win some of the close games we lost last season (and hopefully some of the ones that weren't so close). I'm also looking forward to spending more time with some of my favorite girls at Bowdoin.
