All the way from Ashburn, Virginia, Kate Pokrass returns for her second year of Bowdoin Hockey. Previously she played forward for Washington Pride, a team in the Midwest Elite Hockey League. At Bowdoin, Kate plans to major in Neuroscience and continue with Pre-Medicine. She had a successful freshman year, scoring six goals and ten assists for a total of 16 points. Kate has hockey superstitions but she is so superstitious that she cannot name them. Named Most Valuable clock operator in Division III Field Hockey last fall, Pokrass prepped for the hockey season by running sprints with field hockey officials during games last autumn. She chose to come to Bowdoin for the high academic standards, campus atmosphere, and to play for one of the best teams in Division III.
