She graduated from her high school in Taos, third in her class of 184. At Bowdoin, Shana plans to major in Government and Legal Studies and minor in Spanish. Shana received the New Mexico Interscholastic Ice Hockey League (NMIIHL) Commissioner's Award, which she received her senior year for embodying the spirit of New Mexico high school hockey. Shana's favorite hockey moment was scoring her first goal last season and the delayed celebration that followed it. A late addition to the field hockey table crew this fall, Natelson earned NESCAC honorable-mention for her public address work and has eyes on All-American recognition next season. Her hockey superstition includes always putting on her left skate before her right.
