Colman started skiing about age 5 with his parents and then competitively in 4th grade. In high school Colman skied for Cape Elizabeth High School in Maine. He went to Easterns for the Maine State team his Junior and Senior year and participated in many JO qualifying races. Colman started running Cross Country 2 seasons ago and has found that it complements his Nordic skiing nicely. In the spring he plans on running the mile and the 800 meter, he's done track for the last two years.
The academic focus of Bowdoin was appealing to Colman and he wanted to ski and run competitively in college and enjoys the dining hall food. He says of his college visits "Bowdoin felt the best." He likes science and math and plans on continuing to study them here. He enjoys following Soccer and going to bed early.
Colman is planning on pursuing the Junior Olympics in this, his final year of eligibility. He is also aiming to get a shot at some racing experience on the carnival circuit this year.
