Jason Koperniak will look to make an impact for the Polar Bears after limited playing time in his first two seasons. At Hoosac Valley High School, Jason was a 3-sport captain in football, basketball, and baseball. In his senior year, he was named All-Berkshire County in football and baseball, All-Berkshire County Defensive MVP in football, and All-Western Mass in baseball in addition to being nominated for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award. Off the field, Jason not only served as Treasurer for his school's National Honor Society but was also the recipient of the St. Michael's College Book Award for Scholarship and Service. At Bowdoin, Jason is an Economics major with a minor in Education while also playing on the Bowdoin football team in the fall. When he's not busy, Jason enjoys fishing, playing basketball, crossword puzzles, and fantasy football. His father was 2-time Yankee Conference All-Star in baseball at UMass Amherst. Jason is the son of Mike and Margaret Koperniak and has two brothers; Jon, who was a senior Co-Captain for the Polar Bears in 2007, and Casey.
