Courtney (Furr) LaPierre returns for her third year this spring. Her versatility in the field and her speed on the bases will be great assets for the Polar Bears. A Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholar, Courtney is a Biology major from Gorham, Maine. Courtney graduated from Gorham High School with honors, and she is the daughter of Marcia and Craig LaPierre. She has an older sister, Megan, and two younger brothers, Taylor and Spencer. In her free time, Courtney likes to watch movies and read. On campus, she works at Thorne Dining Hall and is a monitor for Watson Fitness Center.

What's your favorite team memory?
Watching Rip (Megan Rodgers '06) win the game with a walk off homerun against Farmington two years ago. And Sterno's walk-off grand slam against Bates.

Evolution with Mike Palopoli

Who/What is your biggest influence in your life?
Definitely my parents, for letting me be who I want while still guiding me

What's your favorite Bowdoin thing?
The friendships I've made on and off the softball team. Campus has so many people I care about all in one place making it fun just to be here.
