Maria Noucas earned more playing time as a sophomore in 2006-07, playing in all 31 games and averaging 15 minutes per contest. She scored a career-high nine points in a victory over Bates on February 10, 2007 and has earned five assists in a game on three different occasions. Noucas came to Bowdoin after being a 4-year standout in basketball, volleyball and softball at Portsmouth. She was named 1st Team All-State in both volleyball and basketball her senior year, and was 2nd Team All-State in basketball her junior year. Noucas was also a McDonald's All-American nominee. The President of the Portsmouth National Honor Society chapter, she graduated in the top 5 of her class.
