After having a fantastic rookie season at Bowdoin in 2005-06, Jill Anelauskas earned First-Team All-NESCAC honors after a stellar sophomore campaign in '06-'07. She reached double figures in 23 of Bowdoin's 31 games and finished second on the team at 12.9 points per game to go with 5.8 rebounds per contest. She was particularly outstanding in the NCAA Tournament, averaging nearly 18 points per game, including a game-high 21 in a "Sweet Sixteen" round victory over Rochester. As a first-year, she ended as the team's third-leading scorer (10.3) despite coming off the bench. She scored a career-high 25 points in a win over Trinity (1/28/06) and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds against Colby-Sawyer (12/8/05). Lettering in basketball, softball and soccer at Medfield, she is Medfield's career scoring leader in basketball with 1,604 points. She was also named to the Boston Globe Super-Team All-Scholastic and led the Tri-Valley League in scoring three times, helping her team win the league title in 2003-2004. She was a member of both the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.

If I could teach a class about anything, it would be called... How to keep your dorm/apartment clean. I actually have already started teaching it to Maria.

Funniest memory of a Bowdoin basketball practice... Last year during one of our practices, we were working on 5-on-0 offenses. Stef kept telling Maria to get low on one of the plays. Maria kept bending her knees more and more, instead of moving down lower in the key.

Last summer I? Lifeguarded and taught swimming lessons at a summer camp, went to the beach, took a lot of naps, and vacationed in Seattle with my sister Kaitlin to visit family

One thing I have learned from being part of this team? Success does not come easily, it requires things such as focus and determination, being competitive, challenging each other, and having fun

What I like most about my team? There is no such thing as awkward

Favorite memory of last season? The trip to Puerto Rico - from hearing about Alexa's long-lost crocodile brother during our hike through the rainforest, to beating the University of PR-Bayamon, to going for long runs on the beach and streets, to dancing to reggaeton - it was a great winter break get-away
