Kelly (Kelly-O) Overbye returns to the Polar Bears as a junior. Her range and experience in the outfield will be a tremendous asset for the Polar Bears. Kelly is a Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholar and is going to major in Math with a minor in French. In her free time, Kelly likes to hang out with her friends and go to Dairy Queen with the team. A graduate of Westminster School in Simsbury, Connecticut, Kelly is the daughter of Mitch and Kathy Overbye and has a younger brother, Andrew, and a dog named Samuel. This past fall, Kelly spent 4 months in Nantes, France living with a host family and studying French. She said that it was an incredible opportunity to use her French every day with native speakers, and living with a French family gave her the chance to learn about another culture and another way of life first hand. She was also able to travel a fair amount while there, which was amazing, since it was her first time in Europe. It was a great experience, but she is definitely looking foreword to having classes this spring that are taught in English!
