A senior outfielder, Frank Prieto will look to garner more playing time in 2008 after seeing action in four games a year ago. Coming off shoulder surgery as a sophomore, Frank still hit .286 in 11 appearances. At St. Joseph of the Palisades High School, Frank lettered in basketball and baseball while captaining both his final year, in addition to being a member of the National Honor Society. In baseball, Frank was 2-time 1st-Team All-Seglio Division, 2- time 2nd-Team All-Hudson County, and the recipient of the 2004 Knights of Columbus Scholar Athlete of the Year award. At Bowdoin, Frank is an American Government major with a minor in Spanish. Frank is not the only baseball player in the family, as his relative Juan Carlos Prieto played middle-infield for Cornell in the 1980's. The son of Francisco A. and Cecilia Prieto, he has an older sister Jessica.
