Co-captain Pat Duchette was outstanding again for the Polar Bears in 2007, finishing with a .340 batting average with 16 runs batted in and near-flawless play at first base. As a sophomore, he was Bowdoin's top pinch-hitter, batting .361 in 36 at-bats. In 27 games as a rookie, he hit .291 with 12 RBI's. He will make the move to the outfield this season for the Polar Bears. At Oak Hill High School, Pat lettered in soccer, basketball, and baseball, receiving All-KVAC honors in both soccer and baseball. A member of the National Honor Society in high school, Pat is now an Economics major and a Government/Legal Studies minor at Bowdoin. Pat enjoys skiing during the winter when he can. The son of Gerard and Celine Duchette, Pat is the youngest of 4 children. He has two brothers, Christian and Andre (a Middlebury grad), and a sister Danielle.
