Teeth - Jackman Developmental Biology Lab
Teeth are well preserved in the fossil record, present in great variety across all vertebrates, and develop in a relatively simple and modular way. We are interested in the molecular signals that trigger the earliest stages of tooth development and how these signals have evolved. We conduct our investigations using embryos from several different species of fish, including zebrafish.
