Instructions for using Dropbox
Note: MAC users should use Firefox as their browser for submitting files through Dropbox.
1. Log into Blackboard; then select the course for which you are sending the assignment.
2. Choose Dropbox from the left menu. (If that does not work, click on Course Tools and choose Digital Dropbox.)
3. Note: There are two options in the Dropbox. To submit your essay, click on Send File, which will upload the file and send it immediately. The Add File option simply stores the file until you are ready to send it.
Note: please save your file with either a .doc (word document) or .rtf (rich text format) extension, before submitting it on Blackboard, rather than a .docx extension.
5. Type some text into the Name textbox (your name, assignment title, etc.).
6. Click on Browse next to the File to locate the essay file on your computer. Upload the file.
7. You can type some comments in the Comments box, if you wish.
8. Then click Submit.
A copy of the file will be sent to your professor and one will remain in your Dropbox. The server will date-stamp the file, indicating when you submitted your essay.
