A public educator since 1990 with 14 years of classroom experience, Suzanne came to Bowdoin in 2004 as a Visiting Fellow in Education. At Bowdoin, she teaches Educating All Children, Teaching, Contemporary American Education and High School.

Before coming to Bowdoin, Suzanne was the Social Studies Department Chair at Piedmont High School in Piedmont, California. She holds a B. A. in history and political science from the University of California at Davis and a master’s degree in America history from San Jose State University. Additionally, Suzanne has pursued her interest in education while studying abroad at both Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea (1991) and Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland (1988-89).

Suzanne is also a Western Regional Consultant for the College Board and works in the field of advanced placement mentoring and teacher training. Her specialty is United States history.
