Margot Livesey was born and grew up on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. She is the author of a collection of stories and five novels, including EVA MOVES THE FURNITURE and most recently BANISHING VERONA. She is the recipient of grants from the NEA and the Guggenheim Foundation and has taught at a number of colleges and universities including Boston University, Brandeis University, the University of Iowa, the University of California at Irvine and Williams College. Her new novel will be published by Harper Collins in March 2008.
