Mariana Cruz Gonzalez is a Ph.D. Candidate in Education at Cornell University. Her dissertation research brings together various critical theories including cultural studies, post-structuralism, and feminism in her exploration of neoliberal educational policies for Puerto Rico. Her research and teaching interests also include community engagement and Latino/Latina studies, decolonial and liberatory curriculum, and feminist pedagogies. Mariana has taught courses in the areas of educational studies, Latino/Latina studies, and women and gender studies. She has also worked with community and political organizations in the areas of Latino/a policy and women's leadership development.
