Following her undergraduate and postgraduate thesis “El ensayo en Colombia: Germán Arciniegas” and “Tres escritoras del Caribe hispano: ensayo y educación”, María Báez’s dissertation examines writings by women in Latin America on education in the 19th and 2Oth Centuries. She has also taken postgraduate courses in Library Studies and Spanish and Latin American Children Literature.
