Summer guests are encouraged to visit the Bowdoin College Museum of Art, open Tuesdays through Saturday, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Sunday 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Its collections of more than 14,000 objects, ranging from the art of the ancient world to the art of today, are the most important and comprehensive in the state of Maine. No two visits to the Bowdoin College Museum of Art are the same. Highlights from the permanent collection rotate regularly to create exciting new contexts and juxtapositions.
