The Terri Lyne Carrington Mosaic Trio—featuring drummer Carrington, pianist Geri Allen, and bassist Esperanza Spalding—performed at Bowdoin College in 2010.

Award-winning trumpeter Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra performed at Bowdoin College in 2010. The concert was part of Mayfield's Road to Carnegie Hall Tour, featuring a performance of Mayfield's Elysian Fields Jazz Suite, a big band composition that grew out of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
