Call For Papers

The 2011 CBB Annual Economics Conference will take place on Saturday April 30th at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine.

The organizing committee (Steve Meardon, Bowdoin, and Nate Tefft, Bates) would like to invite anyone wishing to present a paper at the conference to submit an abstract by Monday, February 14, 2011.  Please submit abstracts by e-mail to smeardon@bowdoin.edu.

All fields of specialization within economics will be accepted.  While our first aim is to provide a forum for intellectual exchange among CBB economics faculty in different fields, our second is to showcase possible areas for advanced student research or faculty-student collaboration.  Presenters are encouraged to highlight questions raised by their research that could be fruitful areas of investigation for students in attendance.

Presenters should provide their full papers to their session chair and discussant at least two weeks prior to the conference.

Faculty presenters, discussants, session chairs, and all other CBB faculty attending the conference will receive a stipend of $200 plus an invitation to the closing dinner immediately after the conference.  Transportation services will be provided from Bates and Colby to Bowdoin and back.

Please direct all inquires and correspondence to Steve Meardon, at smeardon@bowdoin.edu.
