Calling all artists & aspiring artists to help A Paw in the Door (Joanne Adams)

On June 15th A Paw in the Door will be having an extra special fundraising eventfeaturing painted wooden cats by local artists & celebrities available for sale via a silent auction venue. Anyone painting a cat willo be our special guest at the event which will feature wonderful appetizers created by local chefs, caterers, & gourmet homecooks as well as beer & wine.
Participants will be given by Paw either a cut out wooden cat form or a wood panel 1 foot square for you to create your design on. Your creation is your own & may be in any medium you choose. Cats could be fun & fanciful like Kilban or Laurel Burch or a tribute or likeness to a special cat in your life. We would love your cats to be signed by the artist on the front of the panel.
A Paw in the Door is a non profit cat rescue in Bath. We have been rescuing cats of our area & in some cases beyond for 25 years now & have spayed & neutered literally hundreds of cats & provided emergency medical services to the critically ill cats of low income families in mid coast Maine. We are a small group of volunteers & 100% of our funds are from private party donations but mostly through the hard work & fundraising of a very small group of volunteers. For more information on our group check our website or facebook page.
Wont you please help us to continue helping cats?
Completed artwork should be returned by June 1st.
To sign up & receive your panel or FMI please email me at jadams2@bowdoin.edu or call me at 299 8374. Please indicate if you would like a panel or a cut out. For group projects larger panels are available!
