Join Bowdoin's Office EcoRep Program! (Keisha Payson)

Do you get a thrill from shutting lights off in an empty room? Are you interested in making your office at Bowdoin a more environmentally friendly place to work? Consider joining Bowdoin’s team of Office EcoReps, where you can discuss your ideas and share tips with other interested members on campus.

The time commitment is minimal – just four 1-hour meetings per year where EcoReps are updated on campus sustainability initiatives and we discuss best practices for reducing our campus environmental footprint. Topics covered in past years include energy conservation, recycling, waste reduction, environmentally preferable purchasing, campus landscaping, sustainability at home, alternative transportation options, reducing junk mail, and tips and strategies for educating co-workers. Ideas for the coming year include taking a campus sustainability tour and learning about what happens to Bowdoin’s computers once they are too old for use on campus.
