Audiobooks for T-day Travel from the Library! (Joan Campbell)

Here we are again, another year, another trip down I95 in the company of every single other car in New England. And once again, it’s the Library to the rescue!

To help fill those idle hours (wink wink, get it?), check out these new audiobooks before you go. The audiobooks are shelved just past the circulation desk on the main floor of HL.

On the fiction front we have: Colum McCann’s TransAtlantic: a novel ; Kahled Hosseini’s And the Mountains Echoed ; Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s Love in the time of cholera and Adrian McKinty’s The cold, cold ground , among lots of others.

For nonfiction: Olympia Snowe’s Fighting for common ground : how we can fix the stalemate in Congress ; Susanna Charleson’s The possibility dogs : what a handful of "unadoptables" taught me about service, hope and healing ; Marcia Coyle’s The Roberts court: the struggle for the Constitution” ; Allen Guelzo’s Gettysburg: the last invasion and The third coast: when Chicago built the American dream. among many others. Just do a keyword search in the catalog for audiobook.

You can also download audiobooks (and ebooks) from the Maine Infonet Download Library (Overdrive)

Happy holidays from your friends at the Library!
