Rusack Scholar Application Guidelines

The Rusack Coastal Studies Visiting Scholar is open to all major divisions of the College (Arts, Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences). Applications that bridge disciplines are also welcome. Individual faculty in consultation with their departments/programs may nominate individual scholars or propose to conduct a search. Scholars will be compensated in the form of a stipend of $35,000/year or $17,500/semester plus health benefits.

Applications should include the following (2 pages maximum):
• Faculty member name and contact information:
• Sponsoring Department(s) or Program:
• Statement of Interest: Type specialty of scholar being sought or specialty of individual scholar being nominated (include CV and examples of work), contribution of the scholar to the department(s), identify explicit links to Coastal Studies, tenure of appointment, and how a search will be conducted (if necessary).

This is a competitive granting program, with review conducted by the CSC Advisory Committee in consultation with the Dean of Academic Affairs.
